CSRR-QS 2.0®, The Voluntary Quality Standard for SRI Research, has officially been released. A verifiable ‘Transparency Matrix’ and a verification process support the conformity with and the credibility of the Standard.

CSRR-QS 2.0® is a process standard, based on a number of principles and requirements for CSRR quality management systems, but it is sufficiently general to allow diversity, without affecting its validity as a standard.
One of the requirements of the CSRR-QS 2.0® is that research groups disclose the main features of their research and assessment methodologies into the Transparency Matrix.
The Transparency Matrix (TM) is being developed both as an instrument of transparency and as a proof of conformity with the Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility Research Quality Standard, CSRR-QS 2.0®.
The Transparency Matrix CSRR-TM 2.0® shows the specificities, specialties and diversities of one methodology of one research group, emphasising the key elements of the quality management systems in a ‘calibrated’ way that can easily be understood and compared by customers and stakeholders.
A verification process supports the use of the Transparency Matrix and an independent certification body will eventually certify the filled in TM’s.
It is expected that the first CSRR Groups will receive a conformity declaration by September 2007.

"Congratulations on launching the Voluntary Quality Standard for SRI research. The commitment made by the CSRR/SRI sector, and the new standard itself, will facilitate the quality of the dialogue between companies, SRI analysts, their stakeholders and financial institutions."

"CSRR-QS 1.0 will contribute in furthering the CSR debate in Europe. It will help address the issue of accountability of CSR analysis and enhance the leverage effect of SRI. It is also a significant step towards more convergence and transparency in the field of SRI. The Employment and Social Affairs DG of the Commission is pleased to have provided support to the development of this standard."
